Nature Inspired
Our product was designed with the rules of nature in mind. All animals seek comfort and the path of least resistance. They would rather lay, walk and forage on soft ground rather than a rocky surface, choose a trail rather than break their own across the sticks and logs of the forest floor or a steep slope. Through trial and error and evolutionary development they have learned to avoid the thorns, cactus, swamps and other daily discomforts with no treats or "positive reinforcement" but rather through the process of trial, error and eventual success just like nature provides.
The Paws off Pet Mat was created to use the same time tested process to teach your pet, all on its own, to avoid occupying any protected area using no shocks, buzzers, sprays, scents, sharp edges, nails, knives, flames or "pointy things" of any kind.
Uniquely Designed Modular Tiles
The uniquely designed modular tiles simply clip together to create a passive, no maintenance mat to fit any size pet and any size area.
The mat simply creates a less comfortable space for your pet, encouraging them to seek more comfort elsewhere. Should they decide to stand on the mat for any length of time, the uneven surface continues to re-focus their attention while encouraging them to back-up or move to a more comfortable location.
Moving off the Mat is a positive experience which reinforces the learning process. In time, like in nature, your pet will learn to avoid the mat thus eliminating the opportunity for them to paw, claw and chew on the expensive elements of your home or jump the fence, whether you're home or not!
Effectiveness
Our testing has shown for most pets, it's a quick decision. For about 2% of pets, the effect the mat provides may not provide an immediate impact on your pet's behavior and may require more time to experience the mat. This is a good time to make sure your Paws Off Pet Mat is the proper size and placed with the correct orientation.
Don't rush to judgement - evolution is at work! We want you and your pet to have success. Our goal is to help you create a safer environment and a more trusting relationship with your pets.
